By Air
Airlines serving Prince Edward Island:
- Air Canada offers daily direct flights from Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto year-round.
- West Jet offers year-round daily direct service from Toronto.

The Greater Moncton International Airport is a convenient one hour and forty-five minute drive to/from Charlottetown. The Halifax International Airport is a three hour drive to/ from Charlottetown.
By Automobile
The Confederation Bridge is a 13-km engineering phenomenon. It’s a very quick, convenient and dramatic way to arrive or depart the Island. Connecting from New Brunswick, the Confederation Bridge is open 24 hours a day and takes approximately 12 minutes to cross. Tolls are collected when leaving the Island. You can also travel with VIA Rail to Moncton, New Brunswick and either rent a car or take a bus to Charlottetown, traveling across the Confederation Bridge.
By Ferry
Northumberland Ferries departs from Caribou, Nova Scotia and Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island on a regular schedule. The 75- minute trip can be spent enjoying a chat and a snack, lounging on the deck or soaking up the sunshine and fresh sea air. The fare for the ferry is paid when leaving the Island.
